“期待以上でした。あくまで個人的な意見ですが”
Excellent access from the station, a clean atmosphere, and the staff’s service was commendable.
“良かったです。”
All the breakfast items were fresh and delicious. I looked up directions online and was told to exit Mito Station’s south exit, walk the deck and go down the stairs on the left, but I couldn’t find them; I thought the stairs on the right after exiting the south side would be closer, but perhaps I’m just direction‑challenged.
“Nice hotel very close to train station”
I managed to book a 'family' room—a Ryokan‑style room—despite few options for three or more people near the Mito train station. Traveling with teenagers, a spacious room was essential, and we enjoyed it. Mito is very affordable compared to larger cities, and the hotel is only an extra 2–3 minutes walk from the two station‑attached hotels. It’s a great spot to visit attractions like Kairuken Garden and the Kodokan, and the Oarai aquarium is also nearby by train or bus. Plenty of good restaurants surround the area. The hotel breakfast buffet was decent, though you could eat cheaper elsewhere if you prefer. The hotel focuses on weddings and local events, yet there were business guests during the week. The room felt a bit 'dated,' but that’s part of the Ryokan vibe. The staff’s English was weak, but Google Translate and a bit of effort on both sides made communication fine, and the Japanese staff were very polite.
