Definitely worth a visit if you like nature, want to rest, a “5‑star” accommodation, or similar. You are the only guests. The room has everything you need from amenities and very nice decoration. Breakfast and dinner are very delicious. Many details on decoration in the room, bathroom, dining table or rest of the garden. The family running Tanawatu Hill is very nice and helpful; great job on what you have built up.

Everything. The accommodation is beautiful and so is everything around it, a lovely garden with nice seating. Delicious food. It was difficult to get there.

“Our best Flores Accommodation”

I can’t even begin to describe how amazing Tanawatu Hill was for our month-long stay in Flores – it felt like a tree house perched on a hillside with a panoramic view of the valley, giving us an incredibly peaceful vibe. The outdoor bathroom was a must‑see; you have to experience it to understand how great it is. Because the place is so isolated, we ate every dinner there and the food was exceptional, with a wide range of options, and the breakfasts were also fantastic. The only downside was the motorbike ride in, which was a bit rough, but we managed.

Everything was perfect: a beautifully decorated cabin in a stunning setting, with delicious meals and breakfasts, and hosts who were incredibly kind. The remote location meant it was very quiet, which was worth it, and it was the best accommodation of my entire stay in Indonesia for an unbeatable price‑quality ratio. I can only recommend this stop along the route between Bajawa and Riung. No complaints – everything was flawless.
