I loved the place, it was beautiful and exceptional, but the electric stove was hard to use.

This house feels like a classic, 100‑year‑old home owned by a local landlord who even kept a shrine beside it; the garden is fantastic and the rooms are spacious. The train stop is 30 minutes away, yet the bus stop to Nara Park is just 3 minutes, close to a handy shop.

I really enjoyed the traditional Japanese home and its space, and Jerome was a great host who showed me the garden and let me pick vegetables with him to cook. The place is well stocked with all the needed amenities, and Jerome did a superb job explaining how everything works. When I’m back in Japan, I’ll definitely return to Nara for a stay here!
