Tucked away in the Japanese countryside, this charming inn felt like a tiny sanctuary, surrounded by forest and quiet nature—exactly what we needed after our days of sightseeing. The place was spotless, the tatami mats beautiful, and the traditional Japanese atmosphere immersed us fully in the setting, plus there was a public onsen we could use after 8 pm until 11 pm or early in the morning in a very peaceful vibe. I especially loved the terrace that overlooked the woods; sitting there in the calm with trees all around was simply magical—a genuine, simple, authentic Japanese pause we couldn’t have asked for.
