It was beautiful to be so close to the water and hear the rapids, and arriving in late September meant the upper cabin area was completely uncrowded. The bathroom light was broken, so we used the hallway light with the door open, and the internet offered only one or two bars and kept cutting out.

The location by the waterfall was nice, and the upgraded room felt like an apartment, great for a multi‑day stay. The place was very worn and simple, heavily used over many years. There was no reception, but a man knocked on the door and demanded 100 kr for bedding without showing ID.

The river was the only thing left, everything else was abandoned and dilapidated. No people in the whole complex, the cabin was cold and the windows wouldn’t close. In September it was impossible to stay there; we left immediately. The price for a deserted holiday spot is fraud!

I had a good time, it was quite fun for one or more people. The door was loose, but since I was alone it was fine; I probably should have been warned immediately, especially if I had kids.
