The room was huge with a grand view, but like most places it only had space for one suitcase! The breakfast included RACV baked beans—why would anyone ruin a good dish?

The building looks amazing and the views are unbeatable; we stayed in a 5th‑floor ocean‑view room that was very large with a lovely bathroom and outlook. For the price, many things were missing and I can’t recommend it. The bathroom was nice, but the towels were tiny, thin, and worn—my parents in another room said the same, and my husband found them unacceptable. We only had two towels, so we couldn’t get an extra one if needed. The bed was uncomfortable and didn’t match the hotel’s supposed standard. The rooms were sparsely decorated, lacking furniture and artwork. Breakfast was mediocre; the dining room felt dirty, the buffet food was substandard—bacon was almost raw, eggs were overcooked and cold. The tables were sticky and the coffee machine had a queue of about 20 people, which we eventually gave up on. We’ve stayed at RACV Cape Schank before, and that experience was completely different.
