A super friendly host who always helps. A large room with good Wi‑Fi. Basic breakfast is tasty, and when we had to leave early for a dive, we were still able to grab a package—thoughtful. The hotel is basically in the village center, which is the local population center, but there’s no tourist accommodation, so outside the single basic restaurant there’s nothing nearby. You have to call a taxi for everything, and it costs 200k Rp because transport on Penida is expensive, making everything pricier. During the four nights we stayed, three of them were at 3 am. A dog from the house across the street starts barking and whining under your window, so I had to drive it away into the alley, where apparently the owner and locals consider it normal.
