La Luna Cabins

The location is top, outside the busier center of Nuwara Eliya with a view of a tea plantation; it’s within walking distance of the Pedro Tea factory and Lovers Leap waterfall. Host Kushan is fantastic, helps plan things upon arrival and gives good tips. Nanu Oya station is reachable in 20 minutes, and Kushan assists there too. It’s nice to sleep in the Cabin. The price quality is very good.

Staying there with these hosts was great; they were welcoming and helped me learn about the area. The stay is next to tea plantations, within walking distance of the factory for tours, and close to town. It was very clean and comfortable. I definitely recommend this experience!

“Fantastisch!”

The staff, Kushan and his mother, were truly super helpful and enthusiastic. We had very enjoyable conversations, and Kushan gladly thought through what we could do and how to handle things, like the train trip. The place wasn’t as luxurious as we’re used to, but it was cozy, very pleasant, and beautiful. In the morning we had a delightful breakfast that was lovingly prepared.

A guy running the place had an incredible kindness. The spot is outside the city center, so if you want to sleep without noise it's perfect, and a few minutes by tuk‑tuk gets you downtown. The view is over a tea plantation. The room was spotless and cozy, and since there’s no heating you’ll need a blanket they provide (also spotless). Breakfast costs €2 and is served right in their living room. Definitely worth a try!

Kushaan cared for us with great affection and gave us plenty of useful tips. The weather was a problem, though – we had a lot of rain.
