I booked online while driving and accidentally set my stay for a day later than I actually arrived. When I got to the front desk, a sign warned that there was no hot water, which was already a hassle. Nobody could help, and the staff barely spoke English, so I had to pay for a room at another hotel that night and never got my money back. I returned the next day, tried to stay again, but had to leave and lost money for that day because I couldn’t stay at the hotel. There were roaches crawling in the room, especially in the bathroom when it was open.

I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel's lack of breakfast options, which actually suited me perfectly. However, I was a bit disappointed by the hotel's failure to adhere to the standards I expected from a 3-star establishment, which made my stay feel somewhat lacking.
