The location is wonderful, with a view of the meadow and the horses, great for kids to play freely. The mattresses were clean and good. The stairs were extremely steep. For five people there was only a small bathroom on the ground floor. The single bed was under a slope and isn’t suitable for taller people due to its length. That room also had no wardrobe, no dresser, not even a hook on the wall. In the attic there were two beds under a low slope, which was absolutely uncomfortable. The small kitchenette offered no storage; the cutlery was very minimal. There was something in the dishwasher, but the cabinet had no extra dishes or cutlery. The price‑performance ratio is completely off.

“schöner Kurztrip”

This time we had a renovated room that was very cozy and came with a nice bathroom. The breakfast is always indescribable, with a very varied and rich selection; there’s something for everyone. Nothing to complain about this time.

“nach 5 Tagen Hiddensee erholt und entschleunigt wieder zurückgekehrt”

The relaxed pace of life on Hiddensee island continues at Hotel Godewind. The day starts with an exceptionally varied breakfast, lovingly prepared by the cheerful service staff, constantly refilled while still leaving time for a chat. It’s also nice that you can still enjoy your coffee in peace after 10:00 am. The café invites you to small treats and drinks in the afternoon and serves as a welcome bridge until the cozy restaurant opens at 17:00, where a very good kitchen is offered at reasonable prices. It also struck me that Godewind seems to have enough staff; everything felt very coordinated. There is always room for improvement, but that isn’t a matter of dissatisfaction.
