The place sits in a great spot, just a 15‑minute walk to Gion where you’ll find plenty of restaurants—though there are even more options closer to the hotel—and the metro and bus station are nearby; the staff are very friendly, and they offered various cultural activities during the week like a short Maiko dance and Daruma painting, plus some Continental breakfast items; however, the room is small for two people, so we had to squeeze in two suitcases and couldn’t use the seating area, the bathroom is also small, and the breakfast didn’t have many Continental options, though we managed with fresh avocado, egg salad, tomatoes, cucumber, and croissants on offer.
