The view from the room was fantastic, but the kitchen felt cramped once the high‑season crowd arrived. It didn’t have a microwave, an electric oven, or even a kettle, and the fridge was tiny – a bigger, double‑door style fridge like the ones you see in supermarkets would have been a lot more useful.

The staff were friendly, but a power outage left the room sweltering because the air‑conditioning stopped working, making it hard to sleep. There was also no place to stash luggage – no closet or storage area – so the room ended up looking pretty chaotic.

The location was spot‑on and the manager was super welcoming, offering plenty of tips, and the hostel itself was clean. The downside was the lack of lockers for bags and the air‑conditioning that got really chilly at night, so bring a long‑sleeve pajama if you’re sensitive to cold.

This hostel had everything you could think of and then some; Jose and Paula made you feel right at home, the facilities were impressive, and there was always good music playing in the shared kitchen.
