“Hated it. Worst motel I ever stayed at.”

The location was great, close to Stateline Casinos, Tahoe Blvd restaurants and bars, and the beach, but the air conditioning failed during the hottest week of the year; I ended up sweating in the room and the owner just offered a fan.

“All I can say is the location is ok - bring the tent or sleep in your car. Don’t waste your money.”

The location was fine, but the room was not clean, there was no staff, no toilet paper, only two towels for three days, no room phone for emergencies, the motion‑sensor bathroom light was a red blinking light all night from the AC, and overall it was not comfortable at all.

“Dirty”

Nothing. I was extremely disappointed with the condition of our room at Cedar Inn. The room was very dirty and honestly looked like it had not been properly cleaned in quite some time. The walls were dirty, the towels did not look freshly washed, and the floors looked like they hadn't been vacuumed in weeks. There were actual dust balls all around the room. The kitchenette was disgusting and looked so unsanitary that we didn't feel comfortable using it. The water also took an extremely long time to get warm. To make matters worse, there wasn't even a phone in the room to call the front desk, so if you needed assistance, you couldn't simply contact reception from your room. For a hotel, basic cleanliness should be the bare minimum. I don't expect luxury, but I do expect a clean room, clean towels, and basic amenities to be properly maintained. Unfortunately, that was not our experience here. I would not stay at Cedar Inn again and would not recommend it based on the condition of the room we received
