If the weather is nice, the view from the room’s window should be stunning; unfortunately, I visited during a typhoon and it was all overcast and rainy. Nothing else to note.

A beautiful traditional Japanese property on the edge of Lake Kawaguchi, offering a lovely glimpse into Japanese traditional life; I loved the night we spent there while passing Mt. Fuji. The traditional feel of the property and its location were a drawback.

The hosts were kind, the lake view (though Mt. Fuji wasn’t visible) was lovely, the room was beautiful, they lent us a yukata, and the onsen was greatly appreciated after a long workday. Nothing negative.

The authentic ryokan experience was great. You need to be ready for the full experience, which includes a shared bath, but if that’s not a problem, it’s perfect.

I loved the facilities and the location, but it was a bit inconvenient that we couldn't shower in the morning and that we had to leave our luggage the next day.
