The hotel offered great comfort and elegance without ostentation; the in‑room spa area was true luxury, while the public baths on the basement floor let me enjoy a Japanese onsen experience, and the location was perfect in the hot‑spring district, but the central air‑conditioning system seemed unadjustable from the rooms, probably because the equipment isn’t very modern.

The private onsen in the room was surprisingly clean and the water heated up quickly, but check‑in didn’t start until 4 pm, so even though the room seemed ready we weren’t let in when we arrived early; a bit more flexibility would have helped. Also, a larger breakfast selection would have been nice.

The hotel is right next to the MRT with plenty of nearby eateries, three temperature options for the public baths plus a sauna and steam room, and the library park is just across the street for easy walks; the room was quiet and the breakfast setting was pleasant, but a large cockroach showed up in the shower, probably after recent rain, while the rest of the cleaning was acceptable.

The location is handy with a variety of restaurants right downstairs, next to the MRT and with underground parking, plus public baths are offered twice daily and the staff are friendly, though the in‑room bath felt a bit small, the hot‑water tap leaked, the bathrobe doesn’t fit larger guests well, breakfast options were limited, the dining area was a little warm, and the chair upholstery in the room had cracks that suggested age.
