The host was super friendly and always ready to help. The flat and its surroundings were pleasant and full of character, and they even met us with a welcome drink. We’d definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

For a very reasonable price we got the whole house to ourselves and felt completely at home – the kind of spot you leave reluctantly. The homemade goodies he offers are unforgettable, making this one of the best winter getaways I’ve ever had. I’m already looking forward to returning to Forest Escape and seeing our warm host again.

The views from the property are gorgeous and the location is peaceful, but the house itself felt neglected – there was a lot of dust and it clearly hadn’t been deep‑cleaned in ages. The biggest problem was the lack of privacy; the host showed up every day without any notice, even popping in during our BBQ and later questioning us about it. It made my wife and me feel constantly watched and we never could relax. With the privacy issue, we can’t recommend this place despite the scenery.

The house sits in a quiet, beautiful spot on the mountain, just a half‑hour walk to the town centre, and after a quick greeting the staff leaves you the whole place to yourself. The only drawback is the bathroom – it’s a tiny combo of shower and toilet, so everything gets wet when you use it. Otherwise it’s a lovely, peaceful retreat.
