“Very friendly staff, a great location in the deep countryside.”
The hotel sits in a genuine Japanese countryside beside a river, where you can fish or swim. Across the river is a café that serves excellent food and has a drink bar. I stayed in a shared dormitory with clean sheets and bedding. The staff speak excellent English and are very friendly and helpful. The only downside was that I shared the dormitory with young people who were polite but a bit noisy late at night. It’s not a fault of the facility, but I wouldn’t recommend a single older traveler staying in the shared dormitory during busy periods.
