Nilu was so friendly and helpful. She treated us like family. The situation in Bentota is perfect, 5 minutes to the beach, 10 minutes to town walking or 200 rupees tuk tuk. Beach is superb We will return and 100% stay with Nilu. Thankyou for looking after us. Xxxxx Do not think.just book @ Nilu villa. Leaving

The cozy apartment with balcony sits in a charming, lovingly tended garden right in the middle of nature, a small quiet oasis where you can hear birds chirping in the morning. Even though the beach is just about 5 minutes away, you don't hear any trains because the tracks are behind the shore, and restaurants are also nearby. The place was very clean and comfortable, and we finally had more storage space, always hot water, and a separate, roomy, well-equipped small kitchen. Nilu is a very warm and helpful host; whether it’s a massage or a taxi, she arranges it, and if you need something from the supermarket she brings it to you. Our breakfast was more than abundant, always enriched with various Sri Lankan dishes, simply fantastic. I felt very comfortable, and the plants will be moved to larger pots in the coming days. Nilu is a wonderful host who puts her motto “When you are happy—I'm happy” into practice. She lovingly prepares a very generous breakfast and caters to individual requests. The room was very clean, and the kitchenette and bathroom had all the necessary and practical items (adapters, good storage, dishes…), and the garden is paradise‑like as she has arranged it. You can sleep peacefully with the window open because the train and the streets are far away, yet the beach is just a short walk away. Whenever I needed something from the supermarket or had questions about excursions, she was always very helpful, yet I still had my privacy. I have seen several accommodations here now, but Nilu’s room is truly exceptional—especially for this price! The stay in her apartment was beautiful, and Nilu is a wonderful person; I’ll definitely come back.

Nilu and her daughter welcomed us from the moment we arrived until we left. Unfortunately we had to depart earlier than planned to fly home because my husband fell ill, but Nilu was still incredibly kind to us. The accommodation is clean, comfortable, and offers great value. It’s close to the beach and a 10–15 minute slow walk to town, with plenty of nice restaurants within walking distance, and a tuk‑tuk passes by if you don’t want to walk. We used the Pickme app and Uber during our time in Sri Lanka, which was really good. All was good.

The apartment and bed are comfortable, and the kitchen is useful. The garden is beautiful, full of nature, flowers, and birds. The host Linu is always ready for coffee, and if she goes shopping she will ask if you need anything. The breakfast is delicious, offering both international and local options. The place is very quiet and peaceful, yet close to everything. The breakfast is huge. BEWARE, we stayed longer than we planned… Absolutely nothing to declare.
