The room was spotless, the host family was extremely friendly and helpful, and the basement stocked drinks, dishes, and cutlery for self‑service, with a fridge and freezer available for pension guests; however, the Wi‑Fi in our room was a bit weak, and the children’s area in our family room felt sterile and not very child‑friendly—some décor could improve it.

We had paid for a three‑night stay from August 20th to 23rd and asked to shift the dates by one day to August 21st–24th, keeping the same number of nights; the property refused and charged a 90 % cancellation fee for the first night, even though we still stayed two nights and kept essentially the same booking. Flexibility would have been appreciated, especially after full payment, and there are better options in Berchtesgaden for a little more money with better facilities and customer service, so we would not return.

We spent a week with our two children at this lovely pension; the staff were friendly, the apartment was clean and tidied daily, breakfast was delicious, and the place itself is indescribably beautiful, though one small point of attention is the pillows on the beds.
