“普通、老舗感がない。”
There are a lot of foreign staff who try hard to adapt to Japanese culture, yet a smoker was waiting at the entrance when I arrived.

The staff were friendly and courteous, but the dinner portions were just a touch short.

The onsen hotel welcomed us warmly and became the highlight of our trip; our room featured a private open‑air onsen. It was perfect.

An incredible private hot‑spring experience right in the heart of Shima Onsen town. Nothing was missing.

The hotel offers high privacy with only six rooms; although our room didn’t have an onsen, we could use a private onsen room when it was available without a reservation. The public onsen was always just us and never crowded. Dinner and breakfast were also excellent, and we had a private room for them. We arrived at the bus stop at 12:30 pm, earlier than the shuttle bus pick‑up time, but they arranged a pickup for us, giving us an early check‑in—thanks a lot.
