“Schöner Urlaub am Rhein mit Potenzial”

We had a great time in a wonderful area! The houseboat’s location directly on the Rhine is an absolute highlight and the beds were very comfortable. The terrace was especially pleasant because it was shielded from the direct morning and evening sun. The surrounding excursions are really nice. The boat itself has a lot of charm, but it’s generally a bit dated and needs renovation. In one bedroom we missed a mosquito net. Because of the current low water, train traffic could be heard late into the night. It was also very hot, so the boat creaked a lot at night, which disturbed sleep a bit. With a few modernizations it would be an absolute top accommodation.

I love how peaceful the place is and how beautiful the surroundings are; it’s a great base for walks or bike rides along the Rhine. The only downside is that the upkeep of the house could use some improvement.

The location is solid, but the motion light in the bathroom was hung too high and the shower tray leaked.

The setting is fantastic, close to the water with a great view, and nearby castles, the Loreley, and the ferry are all within reach; the riverbanks are full of nature. The host is very helpful and responds quickly to every request.

“Toller Kurzurlaub am Wasser mit herrlichem Ausblick!”

We were two couples and our experience matched the previous reviews – everything was as described. The location is perfect and the view is wonderful. All the essentials were there (including a toaster) and there was plenty of space. We slept very well in the beds. We could also order food from the houseboat owner next door. Lots of activities are available on site, though we didn’t notice much from the trains. I have nothing to complain about.
