There was no front desk; instead we were given a number to text the owner, but we tried a few times and never got a response. The TV was terrible and I couldn’t get it to work despite the instructions in the room, and texting the number gave no reply.

Everything was perfect. The staff were very welcoming and helpful, going out of their way to ensure comfort, and there was nothing negative at all.

We stayed in a stunning room with a wall of windows that looked out onto Watkins Glen’s main street, making the view lively as the town buzzed below; the state park was less than a 10‑minute walk away. The downside was the constant 18‑wheelers passing by day and night, their engines braking loudly.

The space and location were great, yet when I booked for three people the sofa‑bed wasn’t set up in advance, so the third guest had nowhere to sleep.
