Excellent selection and great staff, but having more guests would have made the stay more interesting; Fiji’s winter weather at that time was unfortunate.

The view is outstanding, and breakfast on the balcony was memorable for both the food quality and the beautiful surroundings. Thanks to Annie and Sarita for their cooking and care. The price for the view is extremely steep; a 4WD is needed to reach the top and parking space is limited. Taxis can reach it but it’s not a great option for less mobile people. The bed was comfortable but very high!

The view was stunning; I could spend all day looking out over the ocean. Sarita makes the most nourishing and yummy breakfast. Sharon was a very attentive host and helped organize a massage and horse riding for me. My room was comfortable and a good size for a solo traveler. I felt very safe and well taken care of here. It’s mentioned in the property description but there was limited hot water, not a huge problem, just worth noting. WiFi wasn’t great in my room.

The lodge itself is stunning, with a great view and the staff are warm and friendly, plus the breakfast is tasty. The catch is that the lodge sits about 300 yards up a rough, steep dirt road that’s only passable by 4WD; you can walk there but you have to be very careful, so it’s not for everyone. Getting up or down costs roughly $15 USD for a 3‑minute ride, and the owner doesn’t offer any transport.
