Atmosphere was spiritual and the people were friendly.

The hotel’s location and the view from my preferred room were excellent, and I was thrilled to be able to stay in my preferred room again—something that isn’t taken for granted. The rooms are spacious, so you don’t feel cramped. The housekeeping staff wearing the sliding cap was far more service‑oriented than the service lady with the distinctive glasses, yet I still felt comfortable and would gladly return. The hotel is clearly aging; the bathroom cleanliness could be better, as a few black hairs were found in the shower and on the decorative pillow, and the toilet needed cleaning with a brush. The 24‑hour free coffee and tea bar was no longer available; when I asked, the glasses‑wearing staff explained, “We haven’t removed it from the website yet,” and that I could have a drink during breakfast hours. The kettle was always empty, but after asking, the housekeeping staff kindly refilled it. The free water bar on the ground floor was unusable because water bottles were constantly missing, and the old limescale stains made me skip it. The hotel might have a sustainable concept, but given that the nightly price with cancellation policy is now the same as a new hotel room elsewhere, it would have made sense to keep the 24‑hour beverage bar (cocoa/coffee/tea) to keep the value proposition balanced. A complete “no‑go” was that the cleaning lady knocked on my door a quarter‑hour before checkout in broken German, saying “Sorry, cleaning,” and I had to make it clear she wouldn’t do it before 10 a.m. That kind of last‑minute fuss is unnecessary. When I mentioned it to the glasses‑wearing staff at checkout, she replied, “That shouldn’t happen.” That was it. Compared to other hotels, such things are treated very casually, which is unusual in the service sector.

The hotel sits in a central spot with a unique interior and a friendly team; there’s a small bar right by the reception. The only downside is that the rooms can get a bit noisy in the mornings as traffic starts up.

The location is good, but there’s no air conditioning and the place is extremely noisy.
