Nothing really stood out positively; it was hot, the AC was off when we arrived so we had to wait a long time for it to cool off—Texas can be slow when the AC has been off. I was told to pull around the back by the pool area, but there is no pool. I couldn’t see my car from the room, no one was there, and they put us up with a dog. The bathroom door had holes, the water didn’t get hot, and for $75 it felt like a ripoff.

The room was nice and comfortable, the TV had a problem but they fixed it, and it would have been nice to have another chair.

There’s nothing to like about this property. The building is run down, the pictures are misleading, it used to be the “Budget Inn” but now it’s a red roof with no updates. Bugs and big spider webs cover the walls in the rooms. I asked to be moved to another room, but the next one had water under the fridge and huge burn holes in the comforter. I requested a refund and stayed elsewhere. It’s clear they don’t clean well; rooms aren’t checked for cleanliness. The hotel seems rarely rented, the rooms have too many spider webs as if they’re vacant, and I understand why.

The patio door wouldn’t close completely, the main door latch was broken, and although the security latch worked, you could slide the door a little, slip something through the slot, and pop the latch. When I mentioned this to the front desk, they said nobody would try to do that. I insisted on a new room, and they gave me one.
