“I left - smell was too much”
Nothing positive. The moment I arrived, a strong mouldy smell hit me; the room was saturated with that odor and I left because I couldn’t stay there.
“Would like to stay again”
The location and staff behaviour were good, but the room could have been upgraded.
“Only rooms are big hot water available nothing else”
The manager was extremely rude, so much so that I even considered asking the local police at the mall, and the breakfast was awful. When we booked, the brochure promised something else, but upon arrival the hotel was pushed to the farthest corner of the mall, making it hard for us older guests to reach the mall or the food stalls; the whole experience was not good at all.
Our room was gorgeous, with one of the best balconies and views in Darjeeling; the balcony is huge and every window offers an amazing vista. The staff were super nice and always present. Lepcha at reception was a super cool, welcoming guy and provided everything we needed. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of options. We recommend this place to all visitors. Nothing we didn’t like.
