We often choose accommodations out of necessity, sometimes just to break up a long journey, and they can surprise you enough to make you want to return. B&B Igea 50 was one of those delightful discoveries. We stayed one night in Modena on our return trip from Austria. We were simply looking for a comfortable place to rest before continuing our journey, but we found so much more. I have always appreciated the friendliness and natural hospitality of people in this region, but I must admit that the owners of B&B Igea 50 exceeded every expectation. From the first moment we felt at home, welcomed with genuine kindness, friendliness and extraordinary attention. Not the formal courtesy you expect from a lodging, but authentic, spontaneous hospitality that makes you feel a valued person rather than just a customer. The room was very beautiful, welcoming and comfortable, perfect for a deserved rest after a day of travel. A special mention goes to the breakfast, simply exceptional. Prepared with great care and attention, it was one of the most pleasant moments of our stay. The owners’ passion and desire to offer something special to guests was clearly felt. These seemingly small attentions make a huge difference. We travel often and have stayed in many places, but I am increasingly convinced that true luxury in hospitality is not necessarily the most prestigious hotels, but the ability to make people feel welcomed, pampered and at ease. At B&B Igea 50 we found exactly that.
