A lovely country inn, but the noise from a large group was quite disruptive.

The panoramic view, dining, and excellent bedding were great, and the owner was very friendly. It was a pity that the kind mother and her French-speaking, very directive staff were a bit overbearing.

An unpleasant surprise upon arrival: the hotel is 4 km from the place marked on the map—so far from the center of Saint‑Jean‑Pied‑de‑Port! Repeated requests to cancel were ignored, and I would have expected at least a 50 % refund; a full refund would have seemed fair given the misinformation about the hotel’s location.
