“Close to the airport, terrible communication”

The hotel is close to the airport, but communication was terrible. I tried contacting them several times for information and they replied only after I had already checked out, which made no sense. For the shuttle service they gave us a US phone number with no WhatsApp; we were tourists with no US line! It was very difficult to get in touch with the hotel to arrange the shuttle, and if it hadn’t been for a nice lady at the airport, we probably would never have been able to communicate.

The shuttle service was good, the hotel was close to the airport, and the bed was clean and comfortable. Both evening and morning staff seemed indifferent; the morning staff was on a personal call outside for a long time while I waited for help. The evening staff said they couldn’t guarantee a courtesy morning call because they weren’t on night shift (do they not have a diary or system to log wake‑up requests?). I didn’t receive a call, but fortunately my phone did its job.

The staff were very friendly, but they should have a Spanish speaker at the front desk. What disappointed me was the breakfast. A few days earlier I stayed at the Best Western in San Angelo and the breakfast was much better. Here they only had omelettes and waffles, no variety of breads, juice, bacon, butter, cream cheese, jam, or fruit. That was a real let‑down.
