The hosts were brilliant, very accommodating, and knowledgeable about the area. The room was very comfortable and warm, with plenty of information about the surroundings. The bathroom was separate, and road signage was limited, but the host gave good directions.

The spot was perfect for us because we wanted to hike Blencathra. Lynne greeted us warmly, suggested a great local pub for the best pie, booked a table for us, and helped plan our walking routes for the next day. The room was spotless and cozy, and we savored delicious overnight oats in the morning, made by Lynne. We’re already looking forward to another stay.

I spent one night here on my trip across the Lake District. I was met with a warm welcome. I really liked how the house is arranged in typical English country style with an emphasis on every detail. The breakfast was self‑served and to my liking. I was grateful for a chat with the owner and bought their homemade product: raspberry jam.
