“Mooi verblijf in charmant Valladolid!”

The rooms were modern and pleasant, the pool was enjoyable, and breakfast at the neighboring spot cost 199 pesos. The reception staff were friendly, Valladolid is a charming town where everything is within walking distance, and you can park for free right in front of the hotel. The biggest highlight was the Cenote Oxman with the vine you could sling across. Hotel Frater serves as a solid base for a trip to Chichen Itza, but the tourist police didn’t warn us about crowds or the need to buy tickets in advance at a steep extra cost; Chichen Itza is impressive yet a major tourist trap, so next time I’d choose a different complex.

I liked how the rooms were very pretty, spacious, and clean. The only downside was the lack of parking, but it wasn’t a problem to find a spot in front.

The place looks pretty nice, right in the heart of Mérida. The common areas are lovely and the rooms are huge, with a really big, comfy bed. The bathroom in our room wasn’t great; the shower was a bit small and awkward, and the water pressure was weak.
