“buena opción por la cercanía al glaciar y por tener ducha limpia, lavadora y zona de secado”
It’s very close to the glacier, ideal if you’re planning the excursion or a hike. The bed was reasonably comfortable and the room was clean. The shower was good and clean. They have a washing machine and a drying area, which is a big plus in this area.
The check‑in was weird: they didn’t contact us the day before to assign a room, and when we arrived no one was there to greet us. We had to pick a room ourselves; then they appeared and told us the one we had chosen was fine. I understand it might be a one‑off, but arriving to find no one is disconcerting. There are renovated rooms and non‑renovated ones, and the unrenovated ones are very old. Advice: when booking, make sure to get a renovated room. The room is very small and the bar/kitchen is tiny. The sauna was in bad shape, with mold on the ceiling, and half the house was under construction. The kitchen utensils, like the pans, are quite scratched and almost unusable. When it rains, the common lounge fills up and there’s almost no space to mingle with the rest of the guests. The cushions/ pillows are too soft. Around the area there’s practically nothing: in the village and surroundings you won’t find services, so only go if it’s just a stopover to the glacier or a route. In short: a good option for its proximity to the glacier and for having a clean shower, washing machine, and drying area, but there’s room for improvement in the overall condition of the facilities and the reception. If you book, request a renovated room.
