“Good value for money.”

The staff were helpful and friendly from the start and throughout my stay. Free parking next to the hotel was safe and convenient. The room was basic but offered great value. Even though it’s next to a main road, the room was quiet thanks to soundproofing. The check‑in system was very annoying. Even after I provided my details and paid, I got a bunch of emails from the hotel asking me to duplicate that via their own system, including my bank details. I was away at work when I received all those emails, and it was very irritating. I messaged the hotel to ask if it was necessary since they already had my info, but I haven’t gotten a reply, so the customer service was poor. The breakfast options were confusing with different pricing; the continental options were simple. There was no coffee machine, only hot water, coffee bags, and tea options.

“Fantastic”

The room was excellent, clean and comfortable. The restaurant was also outstanding, with plenty of food that tasted very good, and the staff—David and Phobe—delivered great service. The bathroom was a wet room; none of the blue handles lowered, making it a bit hard to use.

“Generally very good stay”

The linens were clean and the room was a nice size, offering good value. The hall, stairs, and landing looked a bit tired and could use a fresh coat of paint, and the carpets needed cleaning. The pub was closed when I returned around 10:10.

The staff were friendly, and the taxis were cheap and excellent. I needed more information about public transport and unfortunately hadn’t downloaded the Traws Cymru app beforehand.
