“大浴場サイコー!”
The fixtures like the taps and air‑conditioner felt a bit old‑fashioned but were spotless, clean and made the stay pleasant; the lobby supplied only the essential amenities, which felt eco‑friendly, and the coffee and cold water there were delicious. I appreciated being able to pick my pillow and especially loved the pristine large bath that helped me unwind. Breakfast let me choose between Western or Japanese fare, and I went with Japanese – the firefly squid and salmon were high‑quality and very tasty. Unfortunately, the room’s air‑conditioning couldn’t be adjusted, so I woke up at night either shivering and turning it off or overheating and turning it on, which ruined my sleep. During breakfast my elementary‑school‑aged daughter carried a big tray, missed a step and tipped a cup, spilling its contents; a warning about the step would have been helpful. The Western plate showed a fried egg covering scrambled eggs, which could have been presented more thoughtfully. The buffet items on the tray were plentiful, but the buffet itself left my stomach unsatisfied.
