The room was immaculately clean, comfortable, and well-equipped, making it feel like home.
The Sunday lunch carvery was truly exceptional, with a delicious spread of food that was sure to please even the pickiest of eaters.
The staff were friendly and helpful, and I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to France in the future.
The hotel's parking area, equipped with CCTV, was a huge plus.

“I would recommend this Victorian hotel with its superb location.”
The owner and every staff member were attentive and polite. Dinner was delicious, and breakfast offered a bowl of fresh fruit followed by a well‑cooked full English; other options were available if desired.
Alison greeted us warmly and was accommodating. Breakfast was varied, with a nice selection of cereals and fresh fruit, and the room was comfortable. Unfortunately, guests above us were very heavy‑footed and noisy late at night, disrupting our sleep and making showers difficult.
The staff were wonderful, and although we never tried the restaurant or breakfast, it seemed lively and busy, indicating popularity; our room was clean and adequate with comfortable beds, and the location was loved. However, the shower temperature fluctuated between too cold and too hot, and the toilet lid wouldn’t stay up.
“An attractive old hotel”
This old hotel feels like a good, modernized place; the owners were friendly and helpful, and our room was nice. The hotel sits very close to the seafront, and a decent walk along the promenade leads to the harbour. However, the road outside was very busy and noisy all night, and since we only stayed one night we can’t say whether that’s typical.
A warm welcome greeted us, the family room was well sized, parking was convenient, and strolling to the local pubs and restaurants nearby was a pleasure.
