I’d been to Sun before, so I knew what to expect, but there should have been more staff at breakfast.

The room and staff were comfortable and welcoming, and the restaurant served good food with solid service, but the floorboards in room2 creaked loudly and the tea towels and other laundry items draped over the chairs looked unprofessional when we went downstairs for breakfast.

The room was very comfortable, quiet, and the shower was excellent with a good bed, giving me a great night’s sleep. Breakfast didn’t start until 8 am, which stopped me from starting early and added a long commute; it was a minor issue, and I could have had a continental breakfast if I’d noticed earlier and let the staff know—my fault.

The staff were really helpful throughout my visit.

The location is great and the pub‑B&B vibe is solid, but the Wi‑Fi was only average and the phone reception was spotty—still fine for what I needed at the time.
