“これが日本の旅館です!素晴らしい”
This inn feels like a rare, handcrafted experience you hardly find nowadays; although the building is old enough to be a national treasure, it’s been meticulously maintained and cleaned, letting me relax completely.
“ゆっくり癒されました。”
The baths were great and the food was tasty, plus being close to Hase‑dera was a plus; every staff member was courteous and the atmosphere felt comfortable, and having drinks stocked in the fridge was convenient. I had no complaints.
I enjoyed the baths, the morning Shōkyō experience at Hase‑dera, and Nakai‑san’s attentive service. However, I dealt with stink bugs, a vibrating floor in the room, a toilet door that suddenly wouldn’t open, and a light that could only be turned off by pulling a cord.
“長谷寺に行くならここしかない”
Located near Hase‑dera, this long‑standing hot‑spring inn serves meals in the rooms and offers a full range of services. The facilities have a retro Showa‑era vibe yet remain clean and well‑kept. Unfortunately, the Wi‑Fi signal was weak and unusable, which needs fixing.
I loved the location and the friendliness of the staff.
