Pousada Águas de Tamandaré

The atmosphere was calm, the owner very attentive, the room large and comfortable, and the animals added a special touch, but the breakfast started at 8 a.m., which felt too late, even though the owner insists on fresh, on‑time service, which takes time.

“Perfeita!”

I had a lovely stay! The accommodation was very well maintained, comfortable and welcoming (even for pets). Every detail helped make the stay peaceful and enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family. 1000/10

“Beau jardin, magnifique petit déjeuner, adorable propriétaire !”

This little pousada is remarkably well kept by Eliz. The rooms are very spacious and clean. They are cleaned daily, offering a view of a very pleasant garden where we have an amazing breakfast every morning. Eliz prepares homemade bread, cakes, couscous, cassava or yams, meats (charque, carne do sol or meatballs). Everything is fresh and very well executed with a lot of seeds, herbs and a few organic spices she grows. Add fruit and fresh juice… Truly delicious and hearty, enough to skip lunch! Soon she will even offer lunch and dinner, and I would have loved to taste more of her cooking! The pousada is located away from the center, which allows for calm and I found it very easy to get around Tamandare and find parking, so it was not a real problem. Finally, Eliz recommended some little-known beaches and a magnificent small resort at Praia des Carneiros where we can benefit from preferential day use while staying at Aguas de Tamandare. Nothing to report.

The inn is beautiful. The room is large and the bed very comfortable. Outside there's a garden with many plants. It's very pleasant to have breakfast in this area. Elis, the owner, is kind and attentive. She and Marcela make breakfast each morning. It's delicious! Homemade bread, cakes, couscous, fruit. Everything is made fresh. The beach is only a few blocks away. But to reach the main entrance to the Tamandare center beach, you have to walk about 20 minutes. The path is quiet. You arrive via the main street.

“Café da manhã delicioso e acolhida fantástica”

Breakfast was perfect and varied. A delight! Elis and the other staff were wonderful—always polite, available and cheerful. When we arrived (by car), there was no one to open the inn’s door, nor was there a sign indicating we were at the correct location. We looked up the address on Google, which showed a different address and led us to the other side of town. Then we returned to the first location and confirmed, with a bartender nearby, that we were at the right address. From the time we arrived in town to entering the inn, about an hour passed. For someone who spent the day traveling, this hiccup was negative. However, after entering the inn and being welcomed by Elis, the stay was perfect.
