Nice large room. Had to pay for on‑road parking. Breakfast was in a Bap and we had to make our own tea and coffee, the worst breakfast I’ve ever had in a B&B.

Breakfast was good. No staff on site and the parking was not great.

We had a great stay at the Chapel; the room was a great size. Checking in was nice and easy and all details were straightforward. The room was lovely, we had a room for 3, there was one really big bed but the second was a pull‑up bed, which was fine for a small child. The main bed could have used a mattress topper as it was a little hard but we still slept well. We didn’t notice any noise outside, and earplugs were provided though we didn’t need them. The location was great—about a 10‑minute walk down the hill to the beach, seafront, and into the town centre. A few shops were closed if you needed anything. Breakfast is a pre‑order and is delivered to the room. We enjoyed the breakfast but there was some confusion about where we were meant to leave the order form. I think this could do with being revised, but they quickly sorted it and we got most of what we ordered. The bed was a little hard and the breakfast system was not clear. There is parking outside but between 9am‑5pm Monday‑Saturday and 12pm‑5pm Sunday you need a permit. The accommodation provided a free 3‑hour disc, but if you need a longer one you have to purchase one. As someone who didn’t know the system in Scarborough we hadn’t understood this correctly; we used the 3‑hour disc and it was okay, but if you’re arriving much earlier than check‑in make sure you get the 2‑day pass.

The staff were great and communication was good, the breakfast tray was also good, and it’s in a good position for walking as it’s partly up the hill. Room 6 needed maintenance and some TLC: the shower was dripping, mould was on the shower hose, the tray and screen needed a deep clean, the toilet roll holder was rusty, and the main room sash window cords were missing so the window was heavy and had a wooden wedge to hold it open or shut because there was no lock. If those items were fixed it would have been an easy 10, but as they weren’t I have to say this was not worth what we paid, though hopefully they will get it sorted.
