“Title: Great camp stay and hospitality, but skip the Bedouin tour.”
I had a really good time staying at the Black Sand Camp, though the experience was a bit mixed. Everything at the camp itself was fantastic: the tents were comfortable, and both the dinner and breakfast were excellent. A special shoutout goes to the Nigerian manager—his behavior, hospitality, and helpfulness made the stay much better. The camel ride was also perfectly organized and a lot of fun. Unfortunately, the Bedouin family tour was a big letdown. I paid 15 OMR expecting a deep, authentic experience where I could properly meet the families, explore the area, and get a genuine look into their daily lifestyle. That didn’t happen at all. It lacked the cultural depth I was looking for, and honestly, it felt like a waste of 15 OMR.
