“Nie wieder!”
I booked in May for a €2700 non‑refundable deposit, and in October I had to pay another €1000 after an intervention from “durfte,” after which I was allowed to travel but was treated accordingly. The room was only about 24 m² instead of the advertised 36 m², with a kitchen and restaurant view. The bed and air conditioning were good, the bathroom was OK, and the terrace (second row) was heated by the air conditioner of the front bungalow. Guests were prohibited from staying overnight at check‑in. I did not visit the restaurant for reasons—last year it was rather average. From the start, the “management” tried to push me out, fabricating violations of the house rules, and there was no alternative accommodation over the New Year’s period. In 41 years in Thailand I have never met such unfriendly money‑grabbing managers/owners. My stay on the island was suboptimal, never again (the facility, not the island). Although the first row (only that one) can certainly offer a good vacation if you are willing to pay the inflated prices.
