The central location has everything you need, the room is spacious and lovely, the staff are friendly, and the downstairs restaurant is convenient; breakfast isn’t offered but several fantastic cafés are nearby.

The room, advertised as petite, was too small and the surroundings noisy; dinner at the hotel’s restaurant was pricey, and a 15 % public holiday surcharge appeared on the bill—had we known, we wouldn’t have dined there, making the whole experience poor, expensive, and somewhat regrettable.

We adored the friendliness of the front desk, housekeeping, the restaurant, and the cocktail bar—especially the two Sarahs at the Bull and Bell and bartender Roy, who took great care of us while the Grand Final aired! The food and drinks were superb, and the room was sensational—spacious, clean, well designed, with fluffy towels, plenty of extra pillows, and an impressive array of toiletries (I’ve never seen a hotel, not even a 5‑star, that supplies makeup remover sachets!). The staff made everything effortless, giving the stay a true country welcome vibe; we’ll definitely return.
