La Résidence Phou Vao, perched on the historic Phou Vao hill, blends Lao heritage with French colonial elegance. Three acres of tropical gardens, frangipani, lotus ponds, and teak architecture surround suites with private terraces. An infinity pool offers uninterrupted Mount Phousi views. The Mekong Spa, farm‑to‑table classes, and chef‑curated garden dinners highlight its serene, luxury experience.

The location was fantastic with stunning Mountain View’s, and the staff and food were lovely. The rooms were spacious and featured a nice balcony, but renovations were happening during our stay and the main pool was shut for part of it; we wish we had been informed earlier.

This place ranks among the most magnificent I've visited; the staff—especially Chantee the driver and bell boy, Lae at the restaurant, and Mae at the front desk—were incredibly helpful (hope I spelled their names correctly). The rooms were spectacular, boasting huge balconies and breathtaking mountain views. The spot is ideal, within walking distance of everything you need. The pool and gardens are amazing, and Ming’s restaurant offers excellent food with a wide selection of local and international drinks and dishes. The only downside is that we only stayed for two nights; if we had known how amazing it was, we'd have extended our visit.

The rooms were luxurious in a top-tier property with a superb view of Luang Prabang. The staff treated us like royalty, the food was outstanding, and many extras were provided to make us feel pampered. There was nothing to dislike.
