The location is great, close to trams, buses, and the main station. As a 4‑star hotel, it fell short in many ways. The carpet in the room had an unpleasant smell, the wall behind the headboard had a rough wallpaper covered in dust, and the glasses had fingerprints and mouth marks. The toilet was against the wall, so you couldn’t sit straight on it, the paper‑towel holder was wobbly and I worried it would fall off. It was odd that one side of the bed had a socket, while the other only had USB ports, and the nightstands were tiny and flimsy. There was no proper lighting – only small LED reading lights by the bed, a lamp by the desk, and a decorative standing lamp that only lit the ceiling, making the room very dark. The old, unintuitive thermostat for the air‑conditioning was confusing; I couldn’t figure out how to turn on the fan, and it only blew cold air.
