Hotel garni Fuchs, located in Eichstätt's heart, offers classic-style rooms with flat-screen TVs and en-suite bathrooms. The hotel provides free Wi-Fi, buffet breakfast, and a café with freshly baked cakes. Eichstätt Cathedral is 100 metres away, and the Altmühl River is a 10-minute walk. Bikes can be rented for hiking and cycling. Free parking is available on site, with Eichstätt Train Station 6 km away.

From the moment we were greeted by Mr Fuchs, who calmly walked us through the parking, bike storage and everything else, we felt welcomed; the breakfast was excellent, beautifully presented, with a range of hot drinks, coffee, fruit, scrambled eggs, orange juice, many rolls and breads—nothing was missing; the room was clean, the bathroom and shower were superb, so we’ll definitely return for the great value; thanks to the whole team.

The hotel sits in a great spot, but the parking is a long way from the building and the pillows feel too big.

The place is a bit old‑fashioned but still charming; the location is fantastic, there’s an elevator, the staff are very friendly, check‑in is hassle‑free, and the breakfast selection is generous. I was briefly confused by the hot and cold taps being swapped at the sink, only spotting the label later; the shower fits, but the stopper lever is broken, which is a bit of a bother at a high level.
