The 18th-century Badger Inn in Church Minshull offers stylishly appointed rooms, 5 miles from Winsford, Cheshire. This traditional village inn features a cosy bar, restaurant, and full cooked breakfasts. Each room has an en suite bathroom, TV, and tea/coffee facilities. Free parking and Wi-Fi are available. The inn serves a hot breakfast with various options, including vegetarian and smoked haddock, near Crewe, Chester, and the Welsh border.

My partner, our 5‑month‑old baby, and I booked a single night before a wedding. The staff were welcoming and friendly, even reaching out beforehand to ask if we needed a cot for the baby. The room was immaculate, a perfect mix of cozy and luxurious. Dinner was also wonderful. There were no complaints at all.

The rooms were large and the staff excellent, and breakfast was good. However, neither the hotel nor The Badger informed me that breakfast was not included in the price, so I had to pay an extra fee.

The staff were friendly, the location was great in a pretty village, and the room was clean. The shower area was a bit cramped.

I had a wonderful stay and everything was perfect. The setting was lovely and the staff were all fantastic, striking the right balance of friendliness and professionalism. We even secured an evening table for Sunday dinner, which was great. As a vegetarian, it’s hard to find options beyond the usual four dishes that have been on the menu for years, but The Badger excelled there – my cheese and leek pie was fantastic, thanks to the chef! The room was charming, the bed very comfortable, and the shower great. My breakfast poached eggs were perfect. I would recommend it to anyone. There were no negatives.
