“Homely, friendly and very welcoming.”

Aya and Ken greeted me warmly upon arrival; they’re a wonderful couple, super friendly, and always ready to help. Their little cafe/bar is a great spot to relax, and Ken’s homemade bread is delicious—probably famous! The bedrooms have air‑conditioning, which is essential, and the location is ideal. I came for stargazing but never got to see the stars until the day I left, when the clouds cleared. Overall, a lovely stay that made me feel part of the Folie family. Thank you, Aya and Ken! Highly recommend.

“島っていいよな！！！海最高ー！！！”

The staff were approachable and friendly, and I had a surprise encounter with someone I’d met outside the hotel, which was a precious experience. The only issue was that the water pressure in the bath and the free‑space toilet was weak, but otherwise everything was fine.

“Perfect!”

We stayed as a family of four and it was outstanding—hosts went the extra mile, arranging tours, booking restaurants, and even setting up a big screen at 4:00 AM so we could catch the World Cup semifinals. The amenities matched our expectations, with a lovely terrace for stargazing, a high‑quality breakfast, and on‑site evening beers. The spot is ideal, just five minutes from a beautiful beach, and other spots are a short bike or taxi ride away. The vibe felt genuinely warm and personal, making the trip unforgettable. I’d highly recommend it, though I did wish there were more hooks on the bedroom walls.

“Il faut qu’on revienne!!”

We loved everything, especially the flawless welcome, impeccable service sense, and constant smiles. The rooms were spacious, especially for someone coming from Tokyo. The shared bathrooms can be booked, offering a unique Japanese bath experience. Everything was perfect.

We had a great stay on Kozushima Island. Ken and Aya were extremely helpful, greeting us and escorting us at the port during arrival and departure, and they assisted in finding an alternative for the rest of our trip when the ferry to Shikinejima was cancelled that same day. We rented bicycles to explore beyond the local bus route. Aya kindly booked restaurants for us, detailing the menus. We enjoyed stargazing from the rooftop. The Wi‑Fi didn’t work in our room, so we had to use the common room, and the shared shower schedule rules were quite restrictive.
