“Maltese delight”
This boutique hotel sits next to a very large church in a very pretty part of Senglea. It’s a 5‑minute walk to all the harbor restaurants and a 13‑minute walk to the ferry in Birgu that takes you to Valletta. The superior double room is large and very comfortable with a nice Maltese balcony. The whole hotel is very aesthetic and well‑appointed. There’s an elevator (unusual for Maltese accommodations). There’s a lovely terrace on the roof with a beautiful view and a honesty bar (you’re invited to partake or bring your own). The best part of the place is the staff. Shawn and Bertram were wonderful and helpful in every way. A big thanks to both. There’s no bidet in the bathroom. The breakfast offered a few options but became boring after a week’s stay. Mrs. Snop’s lemon cake (a specialty of the house?) was terrible; better to offer a delicious pastizzi!
