The entire day we had no water, and we just arrived from the trip. The hostel felt bad, we didn’t like it. The rooms had no keys. The bathrooms were dirty. We left because we didn’t feel comfortable at all.

The location is central and the balcony view is beautiful. I stayed for 4 days and there were some good things but also quite uncomfortable situations. The good: the location is excellent, very central and convenient for moving around and exploring the area. The staff was always friendly and tried to help with whatever they could. The bad was significant. The hostel only has water from about 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m., and for the rest of the day and night there is no water at all. That makes the experience very hard, because after spending all day outside (for example, on tours or at the beach), you arrive tired and dirty wanting to shower, but it simply isn’t possible. Even though the staff says “the water is almost coming”, it never happens, which is frustrating. Because of this, you have to ask for gallons of water to shower or even brush your teeth. On my arrival day, around 10:00 p.m., the bathrooms were in very bad condition (no water, even dirty), and I couldn’t shower that night. The shared room I stayed in was almost always empty, which can be good for some, but also reflects low occupancy. It was also quite hot. Another positive point is the view from the balcony is very nice. Finally, there is too much noise at night, because there is a bar right below that operates until late at night, which makes it hard to rest.

The location is fine. Don’t book this place, especially if you’re a woman. It is not safe. Staff sexually harasses women, and the staff also enter the women’s dorm without knocking; they don’t change the bedsheets between clients (I told them and they said nobody wanted to do it and they are understaffed). Most of the time there is no water so the toilets are full of excrement, the kitchen is dirty and there is no soap in the bathroom so I imagine people don’t wash their hands after the toilets 🤢 when I asked about it the manager said it was too expensive. The list is long, but I’ll leave it there.

The proximity to Old Panama City is good. The accommodation did not match the photo of the room. The bed fans didn’t work. The showers and toilets were not available at all times, water was only on for a few hours a day. At night there was no water, so when people go to the toilet they can’t flush, and in the morning the smell is unbearable. The proximity to the bar and nightclub means that early in the morning, drunk people are in the hotel…
