We had booked a seven‑night stay for our family of five, but after just one night we left because the place was just too uncomfortable. Within thirty minutes of arriving, while we were unpacking four suitcases and moving around the room after a long day of travel, the front desk knocked on our door and told us to “keep it down.” We have three well‑behaved girls who aren’t noisy, yet the staff implied that walking on the wooden floorboards was too loud, making it clear that this accommodation isn’t suitable for families. The room felt old and tired; the beds were right under the windows, letting in a noticeable wind that made it freezing at night. The shared‑house layout was awkward, especially the tiny entryway where everyone had to remove shoes and slip into house slippers—this system just doesn’t work well with young kids and ski gear. Feeling uncomfortable and unwelcome from the start, we decided to leave after one night. Even though we paid for seven nights, we only received a 30 % refund. The location is close to town, which is the only bright spot, but I wouldn’t recommend this place for children and would not return.

The spot was very convenient to Echoland Main Street. However, we ended up in a room marked “private,” which I think is usually for staff, and it felt more like a prison cell with a bunk bed. The breakfast, priced at ¥1500, was pretty average to poor and didn’t feel worth the money. The downstairs toilet had a nearly blocked sink that caused poor drainage and rapid scum buildup. The staff were nice enough, but overall I wouldn’t stay there again if I knew I’d be in a similar cell…er, room.

The staff were amazing; they went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful stay. I would definitely come back.
